The kettle was boiled, with cakes and biscuits laid out, in preparation for our first Sheffield Renewables One-to-One session. There was a nice mix of people immersed in Sheffield Renewables’ activities and new people keen to find out what’s going on behind the scenes.

The friendly group listened and suggested improvements to a radio interview carried out by members of Sheffield Renewables, followed by a quiz containing a few surprises for all. In keeping with the truest sense of community everyone was rewarded with a break for refreshments and a chance to get to know each other.

Rob explained how our projects and organisation have developed so far, as the background to our future plans. The tension of trying to introduce Sheffield Renewables to a fictional friend was broken by one person which had everyone smiling as they left.

The next One-to-One session will be on Wednesday 19th May in the function room at the Rutland Arms pub on Brown Street. It will start at 7pm and finish sometime between 8:30pm and 9pm, depending on what happens on the night. If you would like to attend please let us know by emailing cariad@sheffieldrenewables.org.uk so that we know how many people to expect.
