Both adults and children were entertained by our interactive models.

Renewable energy was prominent at Peace in the Park 2010. There were 3 wind turbines, including our own. A bike powered smoothie maker, a cycle park and our own bike powered mobile telephone charger showed a range of possible uses for pedal power.

The beautiful sun had our solar cooker bubbling away. It also ensured that the paint was dry on our new Archimedes screw.

Our new display posters attract a passer by to our stall, where he chats to Sam.

The screw provided a neat link to our brand new poster display, which gives details of where we are up to with our projects and how people can get involved. There was quite a lot of interest in volunteering and investing. It was great to see so many people supporting our work.

The model making team plan to take a well earned rest over the summer, though most will be helping at the other festivals we’ll be attending. Look out for us at the Green Fair or Sheffield Fayre, it only takes a few moments to check out our models and view the display boards.
