We have organised a drop-in session for anyone who lives or works in the Kelham Island area to find out more about our plans for re-instating a waterwheel in the old wheel pit behind Kelham Island Brewery.

The session is being held on Sunday, August 21st from 10 am to 2 pm in the Education/Meeting room on the first floor at Kelham Island Museum. You can drop in at any time to speak to key people about all aspects of our plans, especially questions raised through the planning process. If you can’t make this session, you can leave a comment on this blog.

If you have never visited the museum itself, you can do this at the same time at the reduced rate of £3.50 per person. Well worth a visit.

A small team of volunteers will also be surveying the goit over that weekend.

Another 9 potential investors came along to a talk given by Mark Wells on Wednesday evening, June 29th.  Mark repeated the talk given on our Investor Tour day back in May.  The potential investors asked some very searching questions, but all seemed to go away satisfied, and some made a pledge on the website.

Our Early Bird Share Offer launch will take place on Saturday, September 3rd, and there will be another chance to hear Mark’s talk and visit the Jordan Dam site on Sunday, September 18th.  Details will be sent to all those who have made a pledge or signed up as potential investors soon.

A really good team of volunteers turned out to promote our message at the Green Fair at St Mary’s, Brammall Lane on Saturday, June 25th. Good weather and good promotion by the organisers ensured a very busy day. Matt was with us to promote PowerStation Sheffield and had his new trump cards to try out on the crowds.

A total of 31 new supporters, 6 potential volunteers and 21 investors signed up on the day. A really good day and worth all the hard work that went into making it a success.
